I’m in love with magnolias. You see them everywhere right now in all different colors. My favourite ones are the white with a hint of pink in them. Everytime I see a pretty magnolia I have to turn my head and look. Inspired by this miracle of nature I made a painting. With pastel coloring, soft tones…. I hope you guys like it!
I’ve been painting a lot lately. Every now and then I get an itch. A painting itch. All the images that I’ve veen creating in my head I want to make those images real. Today I want to show you one of my newest paintings. It measures 40 x 50 cm.
Last Monday my dad got his Phd for his book ‘Gemakkelijk Geld’ or ‘Easy Money’ in English. It’s a chronicle of the problems with the European Social Fund in the Netherlands. We are all so very proud of him. It took him a lot of dedication and hard work to make this book!
Even prouder I was when my dad asked me to make and design the book cover! Here you can see the the final result!
We got engaged! Whoeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! On a beautiful sunny day in october the love of my life Hugo… proposed! And offcourse I said yes! Lucky for us a bystander took photo’s of us. We did not notice untill after the moment he approached us and asked if he could take a picture. A week later we received an email with the photo’s. Big suprise he saw the moment coming and took pictures of the proposal itself! How cool to have photo’s of such a special moment.
Roxanne and Richard became parents, on the 23th of september (happens to be my birthday as well), of a beautiful daughter named Evi. A family menber of them asked me to make a small personal painting for the nursery. They showed me photo’s of the nursery so I knew what colors I could work with.
